A LITTLE BIT ABOUT GOOD KARMA COLLECTIVE

Our service is based on working together and truly listening. We support each person by understanding their physical, emotional, developmental, and social needs and interests.

We strongly believe that creativity, self-expression, and the arts play an important role in improving wellbeing, providing structure, and helping people feel a sense of belonging.

Creativity, inclusion, and personal growth guide everything we do. We walk alongside participants and support them in building meaningful and purposeful lives.

Our skilled and caring team is committed to providing consistent, high-quality support. We focus on continuous improvement, meeting all requirements, and achieving positive, measurable outcomes for participants and their families.

ABOUT

SERVICES PROVIDED UNDER NDIS

 SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING

Under the NDIS “home and living supports” umbrella, the aim is to fund supports so you can live as independently as possible in your home—whether that’s your own home, or in a individual or shared living arrangement.

ASSISTANCE WITH DAILY LIVING

Support provided in Assistance with Daily Living is to allow you to be as independent as possible.

The support we provide will guide and assist in a way that meets your needs and helps you to live your life and work towards the goals you want to achieve.

SHORT TERM RESPITE

We provide Short Term Respite in your own home or on the Gold Coast with an approach that meets your needs and requirements.

We will listen to what you need and provide options to suit your request.

Community Access / Social, Economic & Community Participation

Beyond the usual Community Access daily and routine service Good Karma Collective is an avid supporter of people being involved in arts and connection with animals and nature.

This can look different for each individual and we will listen and work with you.

STAGEKIND WORKSHOPS

A Creative Space Where Everyone Belongs

StageKind Creative Labs are weekly inclusive theatre and storytelling workshops that bring people together to explore creativity, build confidence and make meaningful connections. Led by professional theatre artists and support workers Jessica Odenbreit and Caitlin Yeager, each session combines professional arts practice with a welcoming, accessible environment.

What We Explore

• Improvisation and theatre games
• Speech, voice and movement
• Character creation
• Storytelling and creative writing

Why We Do It

We believe creativity is a powerful tool for wellbeing. Our Creative Labs encourage participants to discover their strengths, develop friendships, improve communication skills and experience the joy of creating together. There is no experience required—only curiosity, kindness and a willingness to have a go.

In Development

THE CURLEW’S CALL

aka The Curlew Project

The Curlew’s Call is an original Gold Coast children’s theatre project exploring family, belonging, wildlife and community through the wonderfully weird world of the bush stone-curlew.

Written by neurodivergent parents for their neurodivergent children, the project brings together artists from diverse backgrounds to create an accessible, playful and original theatrical experience for all ages.

Through theatre, puppetry, music, visual art, projection and community collaboration, we are creating a show that celebrates local artists while exploring new ways to make theatre accessible, sustainable and together.

Featuring local creatives including Moyra Major (Narrator), ZUZY (Music) and Isabella Eurell (Visual Art) alongside our growing cast and creative community.

Proudly presented by Ya Mum Productions, in partnership with Good Karma Collective / Good Karma Creative and the Arts Development Fund of the City of Gold Coast.

The Arts Development Fund is a City of Gold Coast Council initiative that supports our creative community by fostering professional pathways and skills development, contributing to our city’s vibrant lifestyle.

Our Pet Companions Program offers comfort, joy, and calm through the presence of trusted animals, integrated into NDIS-supported care and community. Through respectful, safe, and holistic interaction, we deliver meaningful moments and “pawsitive” outcomes. As a proud pet-friendly provider, we also recognise the therapeutic value of animal companionship in strengthening emotional health, sensory regulation and improving daily life.

All animals involved in the program are the beloved companions of our support workers.
